About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team. This full-time role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a team of senior family law specialists, providing high-quality representation to our valued clients.

The successful candidate will have 5 to 6 years post-admission experience. You will advise clients and predominantly have the necessary skills in the following areas:

  • Taking instructions from our clients at our Miranda and/or Engadine offices or by appointment in our city office.
  • Advising clients on a vast range of family law property and parenting matters, including live with and spend time with arrangements, property settlements, family violence, divorce and child support issues.
  • Experience highly regarded in reviewing companies, trusts, business structures and self-managed superannuation funds for family law purposes.
  • Taking instructions from our clients and drafting the necessary documents.
  • Appearing in court proceedings and mediations.
  • Legal research.
  • Collaborating with other legal and associated professional and experts.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An enthusiasm for Family Law and an ability to act in a meaningful and empathetic manner when assisting clients;
  • At least 5 years of experience in Family Law;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of our supportive, friendly team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong understanding of file and risk management; and
  • Time management skills.

We are a well-established suburban law firm based in the Sutherland Shire and are seeking a Legal Bookkeeper to join our Accounts Department on a permanent part-time basis.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Legal Bookkeeper or Legal Accounts Officer/Assistant. However, candidates with solid bookkeeping experience and a willingness to learn the specifics of legal accounting are also encouraged to apply.


About the Role

You will be responsible for the accurate management of the firm’s office and trust accounts, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Appointments of Enduring Guardian;
  • Advising clients on preparation of Testamentary Trust Wills;
  • Experience highly regarded in reviewing companies, trusts, business structures and self-managed superannuation funds for Estate Planning purposes;
  • Taking instructions from our clients and drafting and preparing Probate and Letters of Administration Applications; and
  • Assisting with Administration of Estates

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Wills & Estates;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of our supportive, friendly team;
  • Willingness and skills to assist with Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Estate Litigation matters as required;
